Everyday Beauty

Even though my specialism is capturing the unique beauty of prestige homes throughout the north east, the majority of my everyday work is spent shooting basic properties in Northumberland. This part of the UK just doesn’t have enough multi-million quid houses on the market to keep people like me busy all the time.

This one was booked the day before the shoot, and the agent described it as “stunning”. It’s in the old mining village of Shilbottle, on the Tyelaw Meadows development. It’s a small estate of new-builds which has a steady supply of houses of all sizes coming to market, and nothing stays up for sale for long.

This one was a lovely house in the far corner of the estate - bounded by open fields on 2 sides. The owner had maintained an absolutely immaculate interior space, utilising classic furnishings, neutral colours, and minimal styling - with nothing to move, remove, or edit. The sun was out, the social media video was simple to record, and the results speak for themselves.

It goes to show that regular houses can be made into beautiful luxury spaces with a bit of imagination and consideration. It won’t be long until it’s snapped up.
