Not Sorted…..
This is getting boring. Yesterday I visited an empty bungalow in the village of Longframlington to discover that the front of property was north facing as usual, with very strong, low sunlight blasting into the camera - making it close to impossible to shoot in a pleasing aesthetic. I thought it was a great opportunity to put the superior dynamic range of the Hasselblad sensor to the test, so started to shoot the scene with my hand over the sun to eliminate flare. I did the rear of the house first of all, then moved to the difficult front bit. My approach is always to expose for the sky, then try and bring the shadows up in post production. After 3 shots I noticed that the shutter wasn’t clicking.
The dreaded “Error 10” message bloody appeared!
Back to square one with this poxy Hasselblad. Clearly, somebody dumped a faulty camera and I was the mug that picked it up for several thousand pounds without testing it rigorously and immediately. I have only one option remaining, and that is to contact Hasselblad (in Europe), and have them investigate and repair if need be. The thing is unsaleable, and I’m committed to it having bought lenses.
Stay tuned for the next episode.
