Autumn is upon us, and this usually means an early rush, then a gradual easing of pressure - leading to the hibernation of the winter months. It’s been a relatively busy summer, with a manageable increase in jobs and turnover, with the vast majority of work being local. I’ve held off from marketing myself in Northumberland for the time being, as my working hours were comfortable. There’s no point in trying to work 100 hours a week any more - I’ll leave that to the young’uns.
September and October were busier than last year, and revenues were happily up as a result. The usual end of season gear-breakdown occurred right on schedule - with a Godox flash/trigger and Osmo mobile pocket camera packing in just before the winter negative cashflow takes hold. The flash can wait, and I’m holding the Osmo together with blu tac and elastic bands for the time being.
I’m looking forward to a bit of rest and recuperation over the winter, and I’ll be using the time constructively to keep my offerings fresh and relevant. If we move house, I may even do a bit of promotion in the Newcastle area. On that note, we’ve not seen anything suitable for us yet.
Keep your heads up!
