Sometimes Luck just comes your way…..

I finally pulled the trigger on the Hasselblad XCD 21mm lens thanks to a spontaneous Google search, and a UK retailer that I’ve used in the past.

Clifton Cameras in Cheltenham are one of a handful of camera retailers dealing in used Hasselblad gear, and a random search for “firms which buy old Hasselblad H gear” on Friday night returned a shopping result for the specific lens I want at the amazing price of £1350. That’s almost a grand cheaper than anything on Ebay, and about half the value of a brand new model. It has just over 700 actuations (it’s a leaf shutter lens), is in excellent condition, and will be with me early next week for a good old test.

I wasn’t planning on splurging out on non-essential items this year, but as I’ve mentioned a million times, this could prove to be a game changer in the next phase of my luxury real estate photography career.

So let’s get stuck in to testing it out, and I’ll be back with the results of that very shortly.
