Martin Parr - Goodbye to a legend

Today, the press announced the sad loss of one of the greatest British photographers - Martin Parr - at the age of 73. He epitomised the documentary photography world, with pithy, humorous images shot on locations throughout the UK and beyond. His use of gaudy colour - inspired by old postcards he was exposed to in one of his old jobs - meant that his photographs stood out a mile. His work and legacy will be preserved and shared by his agency Magnum, and his foundation, so that generations of future shooters can take inspiration from his unique style.
